Kanako, originally from Japan, earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in her birthplace and moved to Toronto in 2009. She completed a 3 year Massage Therapy Program at Centennial College and became a Registered Massage Therapist in Ontario.
Kanako has first-hand knowledge of the benefits of massage therapy since she required extensive care due to having been in a car accident when she was 18 years old. Her injuries included a depressed skull fracture and concussion, and suffered from a severe whiplash injury. Kanako was introduced to a massage therapist who devoted her time and energy to ensure Kanako’s full and complete recovery.
This experience triggered Kanako’s passion for learning about massage therapy. Today, she pursues a passion for becoming more knowledgeable in her field by improving her current techniques and learning new ones.
Kanako’s techniques include Swedish massage, lymphatic work, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, hydrotherapy, rhythmic mobilization and craniosacral therapy. She has also treated people with a variety of pathological conditions including ALS, post-stroke, respiratory diseases, fractures, arthritis, fibromyalgia and PTSD. As a therapist, she is dedicated and passionate about providing the best treatment possible with patience and utmost care in every session.
